We're keeping students learning both in and out of the classroom.
Explore the department's Learning remotely resources to support both online and offline learning for all students.
Learning remotely without technology
We understand some students do not have access to a device or internet for online learning. Contact the school to discuss non-digital learning from home options for your child.
Armidale Secondary College is operational and following the directives of the Department of Education, implementing measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. For students who are currently absent from school or in self isolation, we are collating resources so that our students can continue their studies at home online.
We appreciate that some students won't have access to online resources. We shall send out further advice as to when and how to collect these in the coming days.
The Student Online Learning Handbook has been formulated specifically in response to students learning from home as part of the COVID-19 measures.
Contained in the booklet are helpful directions on the following:
- Logging into the student portal
- G Suite for Education
- The Google Classroom
- Microsoft Office 365
- Accessing Clickview
- Video Conferencing using Adobe Connect
- Video Conference using Zoom
- Modified Timetable
- Daily Schedule
- Net Etiquette and Cyber Safety
Learning from home has its challenges. To be productive, students will need to implement skills for independent learning and avoid temptations that distract and cause procrastination.
To assist students, and their parents/carers, we have presented a schedule that may be helpful in providing structure to the Monday to Friday daily activities.
