Student entry to the campus
Gates for pedestrian access are situated in Butler Street, near:
DEN - from buses or walking from town;
Administration Block - entering via Gate 1 or walking from South Hill.
Student drop-off and pick-up
A dedicated school drop-off/pick-up zone is located at the southern end of Butler Street adjacent to the Administration Block. No-Parking restrictions apply between 8:00am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4:00pm on school days ie:
drivers may stop in this zone to drop-off or pick-up passengers for a maximum of 2 minutes;
the driver MUST remain in or within three (3) meters of the vehicle at all times;
the vehicle must not be left unattended;
PENALTY: $194 / 2 demerit points.
Students driving to school
Students who drive to school (and their passengers) are required to provide a Student Driver Permission Form which must be signed by their parent/guardian.
Students who travel to school as a student driver's passenger are required to provide a Passenger Permission Form which must be signed by their parent/guardian.
Parking for student vehicles is available on Mossman or Hargrave Streets.

• Walking is a fun way to keep active and healthy.
• Stay alert and watch out for any potential hazards, including cars reversing out of driveways, bikes and other pedestrians.
• Remember to STOP, LOOK, LISTEN and THINK every time you cross the road.
• Walk the extra distance to designated pedestrian crossings.
Ride your bike or scooter
• Always wear a helmet when you ride your bike or scooter.
• Take special care at driveways where vehicles may be driving in or out. Where possible, ride your bike or scooter away from roads.

School Opal cards provides free school travel and can be used as a School Term Bus Pass, for travel within the Opal network. Visit transportnsw.info/school-travel-apply to see if you are eligible. Students are expected to be courteous and responsible, and follow the school student's code of conduct when travelling on public transport.

Safety tips for drivers using the kiss and drop zone:
• Always drop off or pick up your child from the designated zone and follow the
school's procedures.
• Drivers should remain in their vehicles at all times in the Kiss and Drop zone.
• Make sure children use the Safety Door (adjacent to the footpath side) to get in and out of the car.
• Always park legally.
Safety tips for students:
• Always get in and out of the vehicle through the Safety Door, the rear footpath-side door.
• Stay buckled up until the vehicle has stopped in the Kiss and Drop area.
• Make sure your school bag and other items are in a safe position, such as on the floor.
• Be ready to get out of the vehicle with your belongings when the car has stopped and you have unbuckled your seatbelt.
Carpooling
Staff are encouraged to consider carpooling as alternatives to single-occupancy vehicle travel. Dedicated car-pooling parking spaces are provided on site to support and prioritise staff who share trips to and from school.
Similarly, parents and carers are encouraged to consider carpooling with other students and their families where appropriate. Carpooling is a great way to minimise your journeys dropping-off and picking-up.
Sharing trips helps reduce congestion and parking demand around the school, lowers travel costs, improves safety during peak periods and supports more sustainable travel outcomes.

You need to take extra care when driving and parking in school zones. Make sure that you and your child understand the road rules. If you break the traffic rules in a school zone you are putting not only your child but other children at risk. The parking and traffic rules around our schools are there to protect your children. If you break the rules you will be fined.
