The Armidale Secondary College (ASC) canteen is open everyday before school at 8:30am and during recess and lunch.
The canteen as a non-profit business by the Parents and Citizens association (P&C). We aim to offer a healthy and interesting range of good quality fresh food. For more information on what items we offer, download the Canteen Menu & Prices.
The Canteen employs a full-time supervisor, and relies on a student-volunteer roster to assist in counter service at recess and lunch. However, we also require a regular parent/community volunteers to assist in food preparation, washing up and counter service. Helpers are also essential for various one-off catering activities that significantly supplement canteen income.
Every family with children attending the school benefits from the canteen’s activities. It offers healthy, varied and high-quality food at very reasonable prices for students and staff.
Profits raised from the Canteen typically range between $15,000 to $25,000 per year and are used by the P&C to support student resources across a broad scope of programmes: academic, sport, music and drama, technology, landscaping and infrastructure maintenance. These far-reaching benefits make us the envy of all others within the state!
At present, we are in urgent need of volunteers, who can share some time on either a regular or as-needed basis. To join our 2021 roster, contact Katy Williamson (Canteen Manager) on xxxxxxxx
Come along and enjoy the friendship and satisfaction of being part of the team!
