The Armidale Secondary College (ASC) canteen is open everyday before school at 8:30am and during recess and lunch.
Canteen menu
The canteen as a non-profit business by the parents and citizens association (P&C). We aim to offer a healthy and interesting range of good quality fresh food. For more information on what items we offer, download the canteen list (PDF 25.2KB).
The canteen employs a full-time supervisor, and relies on a student-volunteer roster to assist in counter service at recess and lunch. However, we also require a regular parent/community volunteers to assist in food preparation, washing up and counter service. Helpers are also essential for various one-off catering activities that significantly supplement canteen income.
Every family with children attending the school will benefit from the canteen’s activities. It offers healthy, varied and high-quality food at very reasonable prices for students and staff. It is a focus for the school community.
Profits
Profits raised from the Canteen typically range between $15,000 to $25,000 per year and are used by the P&C to support student resources across a broad scope of programmes: academic, sport, music and drama, technology, landscaping and infrastructure maintenance. These far-reaching benefits make us the envy of all others within the state!
