The Ancient Past - Narrabeen Man
This unit presents a learning sequence for a topic, the mystery of Narrabeen Man, which is a case study for investigating the nature of the sources for ancient Australia and what they reveal about Australia’s past.
This unit of work – a series of 21 lessons – guides students through using source work to investigate the Angkor/Khmer Empire (c. 802 - c.1431)
In this task, students choose a number of activities that explore the Viking World.
This resource will guide students through learning about Ancient Rome. It will look at geography, societal structure, everyday life, war, religion and the republic’s legacy.
Years 9 & 10
Australia in the Vietnam War Era
This chapter will guide students through learning about the threat of Communism in Australia, the reasons for Australia’s involvement in the war, opposition to the war and the impact of the war.
This programme looks at Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War. It heralded a time of massive social upheaval and political controversy throughout Australian society, and brought into question the whole notion of following our political and strategic allies into combat.
This chapter will guide students through learning about the Nazi threat, new laws in Nazi Germany, Kristallnacht and its impact and the final solution.
The Aftermath of the Holocaust
In this interactive video, students will respond to six questions relating to the movement of Jewish refugees after WWII and the global impact of these movements.
Anti-Semitism and the Holocaust
In this interactive video, students will answer five questions relating to racial ideologies in Europe during WWII and how this led to the Holocaust.
