International Women's Day was celebrated at ASC on Friday, 8 March.
As part of a fundraising campaign for UN Women (Australia), students held a purple-and-green mufti day. Nearly $480 was donated to UN Women (Australia) from this activity!
We were privileged to have the new Deputy Secretary for the Department, Ms Leanne Nixon, visiting the school. She met with members of the #forgirls group for a special morning tea.
Our Year 12 Leadership Group were also up and active in the early morning --- they had a before-school engagement representing ASC at the Quota Club's International Women's Day Annual Breakfast.
