Armidale Secondary College is operational and following the directives of the Department of Education, implementing measures to contain the spread of COVID-19. For students who are currently absent from school or in self isolation, we are collating resources so that our students can continue their studies at home online.
We appreciate that some students won't have access to online resources, in that case, please can parents/carers make contact with their stage and request hardcopy tasks.
These resources focus on improving Literacy and Numeracy and will be updated regularly. The intention is that students work through the activities.
At-home tasks, won't be specifically marked by teachers, but will be reviewed for content and engagement with the materials. The tasks have been selected as they provide the opportunity to students to take an active role in their own learning, stimulate literacy and numeracy development, and explore areas that may be of interest to them.

Learning from home has its challenges. To be productive, students will need to implement skills for independent learning and avoid temptations that distract and cause procrastination.
To assist students, and their parents/carers, we have presented a schedule that may be helpful in providing structure to the Monday to Friday daily activities.
